Richard Barclay is an award-winning landscape architect who started The Landscape Design Collective in North Wales in 2016.
Richard prides himself on having a deep understanding of the material of landscape design, how things work, the opportunities and the potential of plants, materials and finishes involved in creating beautiful and thoughtful places.
The work he does begins with the discovery of the history and heritage of a place, unearthing hidden influences and meanings. In finding these, the creation of the new is rooted in the understanding of the old, the soul of the place, and the landscapes he creates are richer for this.
